How much do removals to Switzerland cost?

Every Switzerland move is priced on volume, access at both ends, how much packing you want and when you need it there. Eurotunnel or Calais, the A26 through France to Dijon and Basel or via Germany and Karlsruhe then the Swiss motorway network to Zurich, Geneva, Zug or Lausanne.

Distance from our base to Bern is around 620 miles. Alcohol, tobacco and new goods bought within six months are treated differently by Swiss customs so we list them separately on the declaration to avoid a query at the border.

Customs clearance for Switzerland

Switzerland is outside the EU customs union so a formal customs entry is required. Register with your commune within fourteen days of arrival and present your residence permit which is also needed for the customs clearance.

A long European journey is harder on furniture than a local move so everything is packed to export standard: double walled cartons, wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, bubble and tissue for glass and china, corner protection on case goods and export wrap over upholstery and mattresses. Televisions, mirrors and artwork travel in purpose made cases.
