1. A member of our team reviews your details and calls or emails you, usually within the same working day, to confirm the basics of your move.
2. We arrange a free survey, either a short video call or a home visit, so we can see the volume and access involved rather than guess at it.
3. You receive a fixed written quote covering the crew, vehicle, materials and insurance, with nothing added later for extras we already know about.
4. Once you are happy, a small deposit secures your date. The balance is due ahead of moving day, and your crew and vehicle are booked in.

The more detail you can give us up front, the more accurate your quote will be. It helps if you have the following to hand:

• The full postcodes for your current and new address
• Your preferred moving date, or the earliest and latest it could be
• A rough idea of property size, for example number of bedrooms or office desks
• Any access issues, such as narrow stairs, no parking or a lift booking needed
• Whether you need packing materials, a packing service, storage or crate hire alongside the removal itself

Do not worry if you cannot answer everything straight away. Your move consultant will talk you through it on the phone and the survey fills in anything that is left.

Removal companies that quote a price without seeing your belongings are usually estimating, and estimates have a habit of changing once the crew arrives on the day. A video or home survey lets us measure the real volume of your move, check access at both properties and agree exactly what is included, from dismantling furniture to wardrobe cartons. That is what makes it possible to give you a fixed price in writing rather than a figure that moves once the vans are loaded.

A video survey usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes over a call, walking through each room with your phone camera. A home survey works the same way in person and tends to suit larger or more complex moves. Either way, there is no obligation to book once you have your quote.
